An essential part of the "Offer to Purchase" is a closing date. This allows both you and the seller to make plans for moving, and the seller can make plans for buying his or her next home. Although transactions usually close on or very close to the planned date, occasionally there are unavoidable delays so be prepared with a flexible plan.  Keep options open until definite dates are known.
